Current Utah Abortion Laws

To have an abortion in Utah, an individual must: 
  • Complete the informed consent education module
  • Give face-to-face informed consent to a licensed provider 
  • Wait 72 hours after giving informed consent
  • For individuals under 18, receive parent/guardian consent, or alternatively, a judicial bypass and parental notification
